Sometimes our younger KFM students come to us with very little discipline and/or no correct values. These values are designed with them in mind. They are a guide for the appropriate way that a KFM student is expected to act and carry himself.
"STUDENT VALUES- HONESTY, BALANCE, BENEVOLENCE & BRAVERY"
Honesty- Students should be honest with their training, in their abilities and in their actions. Honesty brings honor & respect from yourself and others.
Balance- Students should apply balance to all areas of their lives. Proper time should be alloted for training, work, and one's personal life. Eating, exercising and yes even partying should all be approached with balance. Finding balance in everything is one of the keys to a sucessfull life.
Benevolence- Students should remain humble, show respect to all Martial Art styles and promote good will towards all people. A student must never let pride, ego or arrogance take control of himself. KFM should never be used in an unjust or improper manner. Benevolence is required of all students and grows with the accumulation of knowledge.
Bravery- Students must be brave or they will fold in real combat. They must remain calm & clear whether sparring or in real situations. They must conquer & control fear and use it like gasoline in a car engine.The KFM student must always act with benevolence but when a confrontation is unavoidable, he must react immediately, aggressively and with bravery.
Note: Knowledge and skill come at a price and with an obligation.
The price is sacrifice, perserverance and hard work.
The obligation is responsibility.
The responsibility to use one's knowledge with benevolence,to execute one's skill with bravery and to live a life of balance and honesty. This is what we believe and this is what we promote.
